Comment Policy

Hey! We want you to feel at home when you post a comment on our website/forum. We also want everyone to feel at home posting comments here. So pretty please – help us out by following these guidelines, will ya?! 🙂

Keep it civil

We’re going to get into some heated discussions and that’s okay. These discussions are on topics that we all personally care a lot about and will passionately defend. But in order for discussions to thrive here, we need to remember to criticize ideas, not people.

So, remember to avoid:

  • name-calling
  • personal attacks
  • responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content

Comments that we find to be inflammatory or harassing may be removed. If you don’t have something nice to say about another user, don’t say it.

If you see something, say something

We need your help in enforcing this Comment Policy, as well as in combatting spammers.

So if you see an issue with a comment, flag that comment. If you feel it’s a major issue, contact the moderators.

No Self-promotion

A comment that contains only a link to your blog, a product you’re promoting, or your article on another site will almost always be removed.

Choose Your (Curse) Words Wisely

Comments that contain profanity are automatically held for moderator review before being posted. Depending on the context of the comment, it may be removed. Profanity used to insult, antagonize, or inflame will always be removed.

Long Story Short, Don’t Be a Jerk!

Personal attacks and harassment will not be tolerated. Comments or discussions written intentionally to provoke will also be removed. If the mods had some bad sushi that day, you may even be banned!

Remember the Golden Rule – Treat others the way you’d like to be treated.

English Only

We only support English discussions. Non-English comments will be removed.
